Crusader Kings 3 is a massive game where players become a ruler. You can choose to expand your empire or manage the various lives of your vassals and family members who have pledged their loyalty to you. There are many ways to play the game, and there is no right or wrong answer to the end. One thing you can do to improve your experience is to add various mods. Due to how easy it is to add mods to Crusader Kings 3, almost anyone can do it, and you can turn them on and off with the main menu screen.
You can find these mods available in the Steam Workshop.
SarcFa custom rule designer
For those who want to create an ideal ruler right from the start of the game, SarcFa's Custom Ruler Designer lets you do just that. You can choose from a variety of traits, both positive and negative. You have a choice of making a rule who is male or female, who has distinct congenital traits, to refine how they deal with stress, what kind of commander they are, what religion they follow, their culture and well. Moreover. This is a great way to ensure that the first character in this dynasty has all the aspects you would expect from a ruler.
When you activate this mod, you must first choose one of the game's pre-existing rulers and play with them. When the game starts, go to the Decisions tab and choose the "Trigger Character Design Event Chain", which starts the mod, so that the rule you create is the child of the current rule. When you're done, the pre-existing character dies and your new custom character takes their place.
Brighter portraits
For those who think the characters in the game are too dark, you upgrade your favorite character and give it a new light. Created by Wilsonator, it's a tiny little mod that's more of a nice feature. But for anyone who doesn't want to mess with their screen or visual settings, this is a good idea.

For those who have struggled with their knights in battle, you want to make sure they don't die outright. With the Battlefield Safety mod, created by Dragatus, your stronger knights will have a better chance of surviving encounters. During a battle, a knight with combat prowess inferior to yours cannot harm or kill them. Only a knight with greater combat prowess can do all of this. It also removes the minimum chance of being captured, injured, or killed in combat.
Broken world
Pertinio's Shattered World mod divides the map into Duchies, Counties, or Kingdoms. You can choose at the top while you've activated this mod. It is important to note that this does not remove, add or divide any part of the map. This only shatters current holdings and makes it a more level starting entry to the game for everyone, rather than giving a larger realm or setup to a specific character at a historical point in time.
