If you've purchased the Outlaw Pass, you've probably noticed the redemption of the Vitalism Studies Pamphlet. Today's update highlights this mysterious redemption. As part of the naturalist role, Harriet discovered a plant that can turn you into an animal. Gameplay wise, you become a dollar. Whether or not your character hallucinates the event is up to you. Note that you must be at least fifth in the naturalist role to begin vitalism studies.

Upon logging into the game, players will notice a cloud of yellow content around Harriet's tent. The game chooses the location of Harriet closest to you when you log in. When you enter the shooting range, you initiate a cutscene. Harriet has a lot to say in this, but the bottom line is that she has discovered a plant that will turn you into an animal. After the cutscene, you get the first vitalism studies flyer. The leaflet is titled Studies of Vitalism: Buck. Having it allows you to turn into money
Read the brochure right away. You cannot transform without reading it.
In order to transform, you must find the plant, Harrietum Officinalis. It's scattered across the map. The best places are in West Elizabeth, New Hanover and Lemoyne. There doesn't seem to be much in New Austin.

Use Eagle Eye to see the transformation point. It will glow red instead of the usual gold. Interact with the location when prompted and it will begin the transformation.
At the moment, the only animal available is the male. More will likely appear in the future as part of the weekly updates.
Transformations only last five minutes by default. If you have more Harrietum Officinalis in your inventory, you can extend the processing time.
Although transformed, there is a very limited area to walk through. It's a small circle in Big Valley. There isn't much to do thanks to the tiny range. You can harass characters or non-player players if you want, as long as they're in the area, but be careful, you don't have any weapons other than a charge and they do have weapons. You will lose the fight, even if you take a few with you. Non-player characters will treat you like you're human. If you walk around a hideout, such as Hanging Dog Ranch right behind the transformation location, they will treat you like you're human and start attacking you.
There isn't much you can do as a deer. You can charge, call, drink water and run. It's already limited, but the small transformation range and the effort required to get all the plants makes transformation a wasted gimmick not worth the time.
