The Destiny 2 arrivals season brought with it a new weapon, the Falling Guillotine. This massive sword is of great interest to Guardians as it comes with the Vortex frame. This setting allows you to do a spin-to-win attack, very similar to the original Destiny's Black Drinker. Everyone likes to spin like a circle of death, so a lot of people want to know how to get the falling guillotine.
The falling guillotine also comes with a whirlwind blade, which causes quick sword strikes to dampen weapon damage. This allows you to quickly attack certain enemies and then launch a spin attack to easily take out a large group.
You will get your first Drop Guillotine when you reach Rank 30 in the Season Pass. This is a free tier reward, so you don't have to pay any money to get your hands on it. Just grind the levels until you hit rank 30, and you will get the sword.
After that, the sword will enter your Umbral Engram loot pool, and you can get it with new Umbral Engrams rolls, just like any other legendary weapon. Thanks to the Prismatic Recaster which you can access this season, you will be able to concentrate your Umbraux Engrams. Turning them into Pyramid-focused Shadow Engrams should reduce the weapons you can get from a loot pool that contains the falling guillotine.
At Rank 45, you'll have access to the Cold Pulse Rifle, and once you've got it, you can start focusing your engrams on finish-focused Shadow Engrams. These will only drop the Cold Pulse Rifle or the Falling Guillotine, making this a very easy way to manage roles for both weapons.
