Il Galaxy S21 it was recently unveiled, and just as it was on display at CES, it was immediately placed on shelves around the world. It is possible to buy it from the mother site, on Amazon, on any official store. The new Smartphone of the most observed series in the Android world has arrived, and this has left with a good question to all the rest of the users who have bought a Galaxy S20: "what do I do now?"
Clearly said, the Galaxy S20 came out just a year ago, of which its FE version in October 2020. Some have paid a nice price tag to get it, but it seems that the Galaxy S21 has currently improved quite a few aspects of the old model - enough to remove some of the more limiting features of the camera. But the question remains: is it really necessary to make this leap?
In this guide we will talk about the various salient aspects of both models and whether it is worth making a switch, all based on those technical and aesthetic factors.

- Differences between Galaxy S21 and S20
Il design del Galaxy S21 surprised by a small but simple factor: the way in which the camera manages to "blend" well with the rest of the body. A problem that many mobile phones still have is the presence of the camera which, due to its size, almost seems like a foreign component. Furthermore, the body is now no longer made of glass (which can break and scratch easily) but an element that mixes plastic and glass (called Glasstic) thus reducing the problems that all these smartphones with glass body are famous for.
However, the same cannot be said for the screen: in all S21 models, the frequency is 120Hz. This makes for very smooth viewing, which is also ideal for Gaming. But the same cannot be said of the resolution. Unless you plan to buy the Ultra version, all models are stuck at Full HD. This does not apply to the Galaxy S20, which even if they do not have such a video frequency, still show a much higher resolution.
Bottom line: If screen resolution is very important to you, think about an Ultra, or stick with an S20. The aesthetics of the Galaxy S21 are far superior, and that's something to consider just in case.

This speech is largely useless, considering that it is obvious that the new model has a more powerful chipset available than the other. But there are some minor differences. Of course, this falls on accessories such as the MicroSD card (which is not available in the Galaxy S21) and the lack of a power supply included in the package. Power supply that, remember, must have at least the characteristics necessary to take advantage of the 25W fast charging. As well as headphones, but those are generally readily available on any occasion.
The Ultra version has the S-Pen included. Clearly, the camera is still adequate, but the new models take higher quality photos. Ultimately the Galaxy S20 is less powerful in many respects, but still adequate to perform admirably for years.
Support for the S20 will continue for a couple more years. While the S21 has the exclusive of One UI 3.1, the Galaxy S20 still has the UI 3.0. It must be said that the differences will probably not be that many, and in the end this upgrade will also come to the "older" models.

So, is it worth it to make the leap? If you bought a Galaxy S20 when it came out, keep in mind that it is still a great phone that can trust you at least 3 years of quiet life. In the most economical cases, even 5 or 7 years with its small problems (battery and software talking). It is also true that the Galaxy S21 has come out with a significant price drop, which can be convenient if the store you rely on has a trade-in talk.
However, and especially if you already have one of the Plus or Ultra models, it is better to wait a little longer. This at least to let prices drop and buy the most updated version with greater convenience.
