Fortnite: Battle Royale's has entered Chapter 2, which means a whole new map, new locations, and potential new drop locations to choose from. Where and when you drop off is pretty important in Fortnite, but first you need to decide if you want to farm or fight. Different locations will offer different things, with a few popular spots that will put you right into battle. You might prefer to land in a quiet spot, close up, use a leveling bench to get your weapons into shape, then head to the next circle.
We've got some tips for finding the best loot, the most action, and even if you want to avoid an early game showdown.
Best landings in Fortnite Chapter 2
Slurpy Swamp
It's a solid place to land, but it's getting more and more popular by the day, so it seems like it's becoming a place to go if you want to start fighting early in the game. There are plenty of weapons and shields up for grabs, and there are plenty of upgrade benches dotted around the area as well, one of which is right in the middle of the factory.
Moist sands
Sweaty Sands has a lot of buildings, so a lot of loot chances. You'll also find a boat, and the river in the bay will give you easy access to the rest of the map.
Steep cliffs
This will be a great place to start the game quietly when no challenges are found here. Decent chances of loot if you're the only person available, an upgrade bench to grab whatever weapons you find up to a rank or two, and a boat near the water make this a good place to farm, then head to the hot spot.
Lazy lake
Head over if you want to make sure you get into the fights early. It seems to be a popular spot, with a lot of loot potential if you get there early. It's elevated and surrounded by hills so expect a lot of elevated fighting if you fall here.
Misty Meadows
Good loot potential, lots of woods and boats, this is another location that will likely give you a quiet farm before heading to a more lively location.
Frenzy Farms
Every time I have been here it has been a death zone. Good loot and plenty of sneaky places to hide made this landing spot a complete dice roll when it comes to making it come alive.
Retail line
If you're willing to stake everything on winning in the early fights, Retail Row offers massive loot potential, but you'll have to fight to get it. The popularity might wane over time, as I think a lot of people go there because it was a familiar place from before the Black Hole.
