Nikon is one of the big two when it comes to cameras alongside Canon. Their mid-range models are inexpensive and they perform quite well. Just like Canon and others, you can also control them with the right apps. We can help you find some of the best. Here are the best Nikon apps on Android.
Camera Connect & Control
Camera Connect and Control is one of the more stable Nikon apps. It supports most Nikon Coolpix, most D series and others. You also have the option of connecting via USB or WiFi depending on the model of your camera. The free version of this app lets you do things like pictures you've taken, remotely capture photos and videos, control the shutter, and even see the serial number. The paid version adds live views, bulk downloads, and more. It's a little buggy. Otherwise, it's not half bad.

Camera Remote Control
The camera remote is a great place to start with Nikon apps. It turns your phone into a remote control for your camera. However, there are reservations. Your phone must have an infrared blaster like your camera. Otherwise, it should work just fine. The app supports a variety of cameras from a variety of manufacturers. Nikon is one of them. It's a good no-hardware app to plug potential holes in your setup. Plus, it's free with no in-app purchases.

Helicon Remote is one of the most expensive Nikon apps out there. It is mostly for professional use. You can do things like set extra exposures, use exposure bracketing, get full-screen live view mode, split-time replays, video recordings, burst replays and more. It should support many Nikon cameras. However, it does not support the D3xxx range. There is a free version. This way you can try it before you buy it. We strongly recommend that you do so.

Magic Nikon ViewFinder
Magic Nikon Viewfinder will not allow you to control your Nikon cameras. However, it can be very useful for scouting sites and planning projects. It uses your phone's camera to mimic photos from your Nikon. This will change the aspect ratio and you can even change things like exposure. It's a modest choice for Nikon applications. There are also occasional bugs. Other than that, however, it works very well.

Nikon has several apps in Play Store. They are for all sorts of things. Several of them connect applications for different needs. There is also a Nikkor shopping app, image sharing app, etc. Perhaps the most useful is manual application. It lets you download and read almost any Nikon camera manual for easy reference. Unfortunately, their apps aren't great for controlling your Nikon. However, you may find one or two of these apps useful. We recommend at least the Nikkor app and the manual app.
