Although it had strong competition from our second and third place apps, some features have gave BetterSnap Tool an edge over others. First of all, you can use trackpad and keyboard to interact with the app. You can drag an app window into any of the four corners to resize them to a quarter of the screen size. To initiate split-screen mode, simply drag the app window to the sides of the display. By dragging it up, an app goes full screen. The same configurations can also be achieved by touching the user customizable hotkeys.
One of the major features missing in other apps on our list is setting up custom areas. Fundamentally, users can determine in advance the size of the window of the application and assign a designated area to which the window will be broken. There are no restrictions when designating the area and size of the application window. This is a very handy feature to have as you can set the window size according to your preference. This feature, along with its fast performance, lifted the BetterSnap tool to the top of our list.

Magnet is thewindow manager application la more reliable and la faster of all applications that I tried. You can use keyboard shortcuts and the trackpad to resize your Windows. An application window can be resized to the top, bottom, left, or right halves or to a quarter of your screen size in any of the four corners. The only reason it didn't top our list is the lack of the ability to customize the app window size. However, one thing that goes in its favor is that it is more affordable. If you are looking for a fast and accurate window manager, this will be your best bet.

3. Spectacle
show is a application of open source window management for macOS, so it's completely free. Don't be fooled by its price, because it goes ahead with our best photos. However, there is a missing feature that may be a problem for some users. The show only allows you to resize the window by using of user customizable hotkeys. There is no drag and drop function to resize your Windows here. However, you would not compromise in terms of speed or accuracy while using this software. If you are looking for a free app that helps you manage your Windows, this is for you.

Window Tidy's approach to managing application windows is a bit different from the top three options on our list. When you hold down an app window, it gives you the option of different window sizes and position at the bottom of your screen. You can drag the application window to the required option to resize the application window. It even lets you add your own custom sizes and positions. A missing feature is the exclusion of keyboard shortcuts to organize your Windows. However, it is one of the best tools if you want to use drag and drop to organize your Windows.

5. GridTomorrow
This is addressed to powerful users who manage multiple windows simultaneously. You activate the application interface by pressing a user-customizable shortcut. Then you can select any number of application windows you want to arrange and then select their positions. You can even add custom sizes and positions. The only downside is that it takes a while to select the orientation you want. That said, if you want to manage multiple windows, this is the best app for you out there. It has a free trial period after which you will need to purchase the software to use it.

6. Mosaic
Tidy is similar to Window Tidy, but the only difference is that it gives you the option of resizing the window from the top of your screen instead of from the bottom. It allows you also assign your custom spaces and sizes. In my opinion, it's even better than Window Tidy. There are default configurations. You just need to drag a window to the right place to arrange them. Hitting the window on the right requires a little more precision, since the window options are slimmer. Also, it is rated on the higher side and the features it adds do not justify its price.

7. RCA
Cinch is a window manager application for Mac that is not heavy on features. It only offers three window resizing positions, left and right half and full screen. However, it works well. The app is very light and fast. It's useful for people who don't want to remember custom keyboard shortcuts and want something that's simple and just works. You simply swipe an app window to the left and right sides to activate split-screen mode. By dragging it up, the application goes full screen. The only problem is that for what it offers, the price is too steep.

8. MOM
If you have a problem remembering hotkeys on the keyboard and find dragging and dropping Windows to fix them a bit cumbersome, this app is for you. You only need to remember one keyboard command that launches the application interface. The interface shows you a cheat of orders with their function. You don't have to remember anything. A neat feature is that if you want to arrange an app's window to take up more than half the screen, you can do that here. Just use the Move & Zoom feature mentioned at the bottom of the cheat sheet. Divvy offers a different approach to resizing windows and costs a hefty price for it. When she is launched, the app interface is just a grid of squares that represents your desktop space. You can select an app and then select the squares to position your app in that area. However, this makes the process very slow. Also, managing multiple windows is a pain, as you have to select apps individually to resize them. This app is best for people who are looking for an app that allows them to resize their app window and doesn't necessarily require multi-tasking.

10. Amethyst
Amethyst rearranges application windows automatically without any input. The first application is launched in full-screen mode, the second is half-screen, and so on. You get a hotkey to rotate between different arrangements and that's it. In my use, I have found it works fine until 3 apps are open. After that it almost gives up and the application windows start overlapping each other. Amerthyst is a bit different and therefore not for everyone. This is for someone who is always working on multiple windows on the same desktop or for the one who is too lazy.
