Season 4 of Apex Legends introduces Revenant, an assassin robot. Revenant is known throughout the system as a formidable killer, and he joined Apex Games to quench his endless thirst for blood and death.
He has an exciting kit for a character that is themed around the concept of assassination. While there is certainly a lot of potential for killing enemies, Revenant also brings some very powerful utility to the mix.
Passif - Stalker
Revenant can move faster than other Legends when crouched and can also climb higher on walls, allowing him to find himself in vantage points at angles other Legends cannot use.
Tactical Ability - Silence
Revenant's Silence can be devastating if used correctly. He can throw a grenade that damages enemies and also stops their abilities for 10 seconds. This means no escape, no way to defend yourself, and no way to deal with incoming damage while your team levels your enemies.
Ultimate Ability - Death Totem
Death Totem is an item that Revenant places in the game. Once killed, rather than dying, it will return to the Totem with minimal health. When the killing blow is struck, the death is undone, Revenant reappears at the Totem. This can be used by any legend on their team.
The Death Totem is an extremely powerful ability, especially since the entire team can use it. Place it somewhere safe when you fight, and it will give your entire team a reset.
The most interesting aspect of Revenant is how well tactical play is in his kit. Silence allows you to take enemies by surprise, and win and instead advance on them, while Death Totem protects you when things go wrong, allowing you to reset, heal, and then resume combat.
