Are you starting Genshin Impact and want to be up and running as soon as possible? Do you want to avoid falling into the traps of beginners? Well you've come to the right place!
Do not flutter immediately
The world of Genshin Impact is big and full of chests, flowers, crabs and other mushrooms that will attract you and cause you to waste 5 hours collecting everything.
During your first days of play, it is strongly advised to ignore all this to throw yourself on the main quest. the goal is to reach level 20 of AR, the level of your account, as quickly as possible. (About 15 hours of play)
This level 20 will give you access to all the content requiring daily actions (quests giving gems, exploration allowing you to earn resources, battle pass, etc.)
Get your MC and his weapon to lvl 20 as fast as possible
The MC (Personnage Principal / Main Character) is a versatile character that can accompany you for a very long time. It also has the advantage of being inexpensive (less resources to increase its max level, different constellation system).
It is very strongly advised to quickly level this character to lvl 20 and to level up a purple sword at the same level as soon as you have one (the rancour prototype will be given to you at AR level 10 and is an excellent sword).
With this simple character you will be able to ride low level content.
Don't mount Amber, Kaeya and Lisa but keep them on your team for now
Amber, Kaeya and Lisa are the 3 characters that you will have as a gift in game during the tutorial. They are generally less good than the other 4-star characters so it is rather inadvisable to level them right away but having them in your team will allow you to solve all the puzzles of Mondstadt, the first zone.
You can mount them later if you see the usefulness for your team but don't do it immediately, it's a waste of xp and moras.
Do your daily quests
It is essential to do your daily quests as soon as you have a moment, it offers a monstrous amount of experience as well as some resources.
Do not use the Gacha system without knowing its specifics
Some banners catch the eye, like Noelle's, which gives advantageous prices… Hold on! First read our guide on gacha which will explain to you how not to waste a single wish but also that the banner of Noelle is not necessarily made for you!
Mark your card!
You can add markers to your map; use it! Ideally you should mark the location of the anemoculi and geoculi you have collected. The interactive map here will allow you to find those you missed!
You can also use it to mark places requiring a key that you haven't opened. No more searching to find them!
Create a “roadmap”
To empty a card of all its chests, it can be complicated to simply flutter; do not hesitate to delimit "zones" to square the map. you go back and forth in one area and then move on to the next.
