There are five different weapon types in Genshin Impact, with the standard sword offering solid middle ground in terms of attack speed and damage. The swords will be used by Ayaka, Jean, Keqing, Qiqi, the traveler, Bennet, Kaeya, and Xingqiu, so you will need to familiarize yourself with the different builds of these characters to determine exactly which sword is best for them.
That said, there are some pretty clear winners if you just compare all the swords against each other. You can find our current level list for swords below, although this will change over time either due to updates or the discovery of new techniques / builds with characters.

- Increases ATK stats
- Passive - ATK is increased from 20% to 40%. Triggers when taking DMG: Soul of the West Falcon awakens, holding the Banner of Resistance aloft, regenerating HP equal to 100% - 160% ATK and inflicting 200% - 320 % ATK in DMG to surrounding enemies. This effect can only occur once every 15 seconds.

Blackcliff long sword

- Passive - After defeating an enemy, ATK is increased from 12% to 14% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.
Rancor prototype
Awarded at Adventure Rank 10, and can be forged at the Blacksmith.

- Passive - On a hit, normal or charged attacks increase base ATK and DEF from 4% to 8% for 6s. Max 4 batteries. Can only occur once every 0,3 s.
