Use the circular button to shoot. See above. You want to find the sweet spot when you press and hold the shoot button. Too much ball will go over the goal. Too little and it will be very easy for the keeper to stop.
Normal hits
Basic shooting in FIFA 21 is done by pressing the Circle button (B button on Xbox). As with other shots, you should always aim with the left stick and you should always make sure that you don't put too much power on the shot. Staying between 2-3 green bars is appropriate for most distances.

Long shots
Long shots are tough in real life and they're just as tough in FIFA 21. The stars are going to have to line up so you can take the really long shots, but you can get in a good position to do more. To do this, you're going to want to use the finesse power hit. To perform a timed finish, you need to charge the power meter just like you would on a normal shot by pressing the Circle or B button. Then you need to watch the player animation to see the exact moment when they will hit the ball. . At this time, you want to press Circle or B button again to lock the timed end.
