There is something so memorable about normally scary video games. Maybe it's just that they're so unexpected. I mean, you know what you're getting yourself into when you step into a horror game. But who expects a piano to bite you?
Our first spine tingling list was such a hit that we had to come back for a second set of scares. It's Halloween in July, and we're all still stuck, so let's feed that paranoia and take a look at 10 more shocks in games that are normally fearless. Hide under the covers and take a look at this next list of spooky features.
Vectron Lair [[]
For a brief moment, turns into a full horror game. This is an indie platform game focused on light and sunny exploration - there is danger, sure, but nothing too scary, even if you work against the clock to complete the extraction before your oil lamp does not dry out. It's a light game, but your visit to Vectron is absolutely terrifying.
By activating an ancient portal, your steam robot teleports to the electronic ruins of Vectron - where you'll have to fight through seemingly endless stacks of junk robots while avoiding massive bruises that easily smash anything in their path. , everything to catch you. It's like a game of - invincible enemies that you can only run away from around every corner, and you'll narrowly escape with your life. It's surprisingly intense when the rest of the game is full of fun for all ages.
Dark bramble [[]
contains a section of pure terror fuel. If you haven't dabbled in this indie marvel yet, you owe it to yourself to put this list aside and avoid the spoilers I'm going to throw away.
Right from the start, you are given a spaceship and an entire galaxy to investigate. Your goal is to uncover the mysteries of space at your own pace, and it's possible to beat the game in under 15 minutes - if you know exactly what to do. The only problem is that you are stuck within a time limit. The sun continues to explode, so you have to start all over again after each cycle. To solve the mystery, you will have to investigate every location in your solar system.
One of these areas is black bramble. This hair-raising place is like a pocket universe - the inside is much, much bigger than the outside. Oh and it's filled with hungry angler fish that will eat you up if you make too much noise. You will need to squeeze in carefully, avoiding the lights in the hazy distance. This is easily one of the scariest moments in any game. Why ?! This is a cute little puzzle / adventure game! My heart didn't sign up for it.
I love him anyway.
